Get involved

At Project Respect, we believe all women have the right to feel safe and respected. Yet in Australia’s legal sex industry, we know that many don’t. Violence, threats and intimidation are common. Its impact is felt every day.

Project Respect works around the clock to support women experiencing harm in the sex industry. We help them access essential services - such as healthcare, housing and legal representation. We create a safe community, where women support each other and grow their incredible strength. We advocate for women’s rights against violence, trafficking and exploitation.

There are so many ways to get involved with Project Respect and we welcome anyone who wishes to support our work with women. Here are some options for getting involved:

Become a Project Respect Member:

Fill in the membership application form and return it to info@projectrespect.org.au. You will be the first to know of any up coming Project Respect events!

Speaker Events:

If you are looking for keynote speaker get in touch with Project Respect and we can come a present at your event.

Training for Community Workers:

Project Respect can offer training workshops for your organisation on working with and supporting women in the sex industry, including trafficked women. Get in touch and we can organise a training program tailored to your needs.

Bequests:

A bequest is a very significant way to make a positive difference to the lives and welfare of women who are trafficked for sexual exploitation and women in the sex industry. We use donations to support various programs that address the needs of women including legal support, advocacy and research, community lunches, and therapeutic programs. We welcome support for these women.

Fundraising Initiatives:

Whether you are participating in a marathon or having a local bake sale, Project Respect is a happy recipient of fundraising and crowd-funding initiatives.

Students:

If you are a student looking for the opportunity to do some work experience or your placement, please get in touch and we will try to find something to suit your needs. We have a lot of students who do their placement with us and we are always happy to see some new faces and friends around the office.

Shopnate:

Shopnate is an amazing initiative where people can donate to charity and organisations by shopping online. A commission on every sale with any of the partnered stores can go to an organisation of your choice and Project Respect is a proud partner of this. Follow this link to get shopping!
