Love the DFSV sector but looking for a change from the front line?
You understand the complex, intersectional barriers that women and gender diverse people with experience in the sex industry, and women and gender diverse people with experiences of sexual exploitation face when navigating service systems. You know the gaps, the systemic challenges, and what safe, culturally grounded support looks like in practice.
Now, you have the opportunity to take that invaluable frontline experience and use it to transform how the broader sector responds.
As our Partnership & Engagement Coordinator, you will step back from direct crisis case management to focus on building the sector's capacity. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this hands-on, operational role bridges the gap between our specialist service and the wider community sector.
You will be the driving force behind training external professionals, building trusted referral pathways, and ensuring our own internal policies and procedures are deeply trauma-informed.
What you will do:
- Build Sector Capacity: Support the update of, and lead the delivery of engaging training and workshops to external professionals, educating them on how to provide safe, inclusive support to our community.
- Foster Safe Pathways: Cultivate strong, warm referral relationships with mainstream and specialist services to ensure our community gets the right support seamlessly.
- Support Strategic Growth: Assist the Executive Director by contributing frontline insights and case studies for grant applications, alongside preparing impact reports.
- Strengthen Our Foundation: Review and update internal operational procedures to ensure our direct client-facing team is backed by robust, culturally safe frameworks, including supporting our Rainbow Tick accreditation.
Who we are looking for:
- Frontline Family Violence or Community Experience: You have spent time in direct client-facing roles and have a deep, nuanced understanding of intersectional practice and trauma-informed care.
- A Natural Educator & Collaborator: You are confident presenting to external audiences, building cross-organisational trust, and advocating for systemic change.
- Strong Operational Writing: You can write clear procedures, pull together data for reports, and articulate client stories beautifully on paper to support funding requests.
- Autonomy & Passion: You thrive in a lean, nimble team environment and are excited to support a dedicated Executive Director and frontline team.
If you are ready to pivot your frontline expertise into sector development, advocacy, and operational coordination, we would love to hear from you.
